The NTNU Genomics Resource Center provides access to a variety of genomics technologies including Illumina BeadArray system, Affymetrix GeneChip system, Agilent Technologies scanner, Applied Biosystems Capillary Electrophoresis systems and a Genomic Solutions Microgrid II printing robot for production of in-house spotted microarray.

Our goal is to provide state-of-the-art genomics technology to our users with the best possible service and lowest cost.

We provide a broad range of services to our users, including whole genome gene expression and genotyping (using Illumina, Affymetrix, or other platforms), microRNA expression analysis, custom DNA array printing and hybridization service. We also provide RNA and DNA purification and quality control (using Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer and NanoDrop). Our bioinformaticians offer microarray data analysis at different levels.

The NTNU Genomics Resource Center has successfully completed Illumina CSPro™ certification for Gene Expression and SNP genotyping, gaining entry to an elite group of Illumina genomics service providers globally. Illumina Inc., a San Diego-based company, provides leading-edge genetic analysis tools to genomics centers worldwide. Illumina CSPro is the collaborative service provider partnership dedicated to ensure the delivery of the highest-quality data available for genetic analysis applications. Illumina CSPro participants undergo a rigorous two-phase certification process that includes minimum data generation, data certification, and an on-site audit of the facility and processes.

For a full detailed description of our provided services, see our service section.

The NTNU Genomics Resource Center is located at the Department of Cancer Research and Molecular Medicine. The NTNU Genomics Resource Center is supported by NTNU and the Functional Genomics (FUGE) program under the Norwegian Research Council, housing the NTNU node of the national Microarray platform (The Norwegian Microarray Consortium, a FUGE technology platform). Details about our organization can be found in the About us and Contact us sections.
